I was given a tape recently from a group called T.ROZE & Co.
(Also known as Tokyo Rose back then) and if the tape is anything to go by, then we have yet another outstanding act arriving on the Costa circuit. The only gig I know of where you can check them out is the Galleon bar at Calypso, where they play on Tuesday evening, but when I hear more Ill report right here in this column.

The talented twosome of Sissy & Neil who comprise T.ROZE & Co.

At MICHAELS NIGHT CLUB in Villacana, whilst JOEY DEES at Benamara is the venue for the modern duo every Thursday. There are a number of very good duos working on the Costa at the moment and believe me T.Roze & Co. are one of the best so look out for them at those locations.

9th-15th September 1993
Anglo/Canadian duo T.ROZE & Co. are still around. I was under the impression that they may have returned to Madrid, however it transpires that they have been working every night in Marbella Port, on the terrace shared by three bars. Guitarist Neil phoned this week to say that as of September 1st they are now only appearing in the port on Fridays and Saturdays, which leaves them free to accept other bookings. Those of you in the San Pedro area can check out this polished act at the MAJOR OAK pub in Benamara on Thursdays.

7th-13th October 1993
BERTIE DARTARD checked out the scene at BANANA BEACH on Sunday and reports that as well as both the MIX and SWITCH being on fine form, a popular appearance was made by T.ROZE & Co. Bertie said that she (Sissy) was a great singer, and her partner (Neil) seemed to be very handy on the keyboards too. I have been hoping to catch their show at THE GALLEON in Calypso on Monday.

T.ROZE & Co. ROCK ON!!!!

Sissy told me this week that although she was quite happy to stand in on vocals for certain gigs with THE MIX, she has no intention of joining the Navy Bar band on a full-time basis. T.ROZE & Co. of course still performs at the nearby Puerto Banus Piano Club, Old Joys, every Friday and Sunday. Whilst on Thursdays they can be found at Baccus Bar in Marbella.

**********T.ROZE & Co. also worked in PERSUITS PIANO BAR in Puerto Banus from June 17th-October 17th 1994 (five nights a week, from Tuesday-Saturday, they got Sundays off to rest and bath in the sunha, ha) They performed there with PHILL CAMBELL (well known in Spain for his unique keyboard playing ability)
**********T.ROZE & Co. also had the pleasure to appear on M.I.T.V. LOS ARCOS, SPAIN with PHIL CAMBELL. MEL WILLIAMS was the shows host. I believe it was back in the summer of August 1994. The one thing that Ill never forget is, that it was hot and very sweaty!!

**********T.ROZE & Co. were then invited to go to The Netherlands. Where they joined C.A.T. International & C.A.T. Events booking and management agency in 1995-1997.

**********T.ROZE & Co. also did a jingle in November 1995 for the ORIENT BANK LTD.

**********T.ROZE & Co. have had the pleasure of singing at a charity show for children in the Nederlands, they also took part in judging the best performance for the childrens play back show. Sissy also took part in painting clown faces on the children. It was wonderful to see the children laughing, playing and performing on stage with their costumes!

SHOWAVOND

Een thema-avoond waariin show central staat. De organisatie doethaar best de verschillende facetten van het begrip show samen te voegen tot een binte mengeling en een dijk van een programma. Op Dinsdag 20 augustus om 20.30 uur in de Feest-tent op t Trefpuntplein te bewonderen.

Samen met C.A.T-International, die artiesten levert, is men tot een verrassende invulling van deze avond gekomen. Showballet Cocadinhas geven een wervelende act weg. Verder een optreden van Gert Boullart. Een professionele songwriter, chansonnier en buikspreker.

Mocht u nog nooit van T.Roze & Co. (also known as Tokyo Rose) hebben gehoord dan is dat na vanavond verleden tijd. T.Roze & Co. bestaat Sissy Vincent en Neil Walton. Inder daad international gezelschapje, dat in binned-en butinland op diverse podia gestaan heft waaronder Canada, U.S.A., England en Spanje. Zij spleen veel muziekstijlen en deden dat ook al op radio en T.V. Zelfs een platencontract bij Vogue Records is in, hun bezit.

Als uitsmijter een streek-genoot: Johnny Kelvin. Samen met The Dreams een perfecte show van deze Drutenaar, die aardig aan de weg timmert en wellicht so beroemd wordt als de Sjonnies, die drie jaar geleden al op de Showavond te bewonden aren. Mocht u een bezoekje willen brengen aan deze speciale Showavond, verschijnt u dan a.u.b. niet om een uur of elf lekker chique laat in de Feesttent. De Showavond is op dat tijdstip al bijna half afgewerkt.

***********T.ROZE & Co. also went on to perform in Army bases all over Europe from 1995-1997. They even had the pleasure of playing in The Nederlands for the Queens birthday celebration at one of the Dutch army barracks.

**********T.ROZE & CO. then went on to sign a: TWO-YEAR WORLD WIDE
EXCLUSIVE, COMMERCIAL, MANAGEMENT CONTRACT WITH C.A.T INTERNATIONAL & C.A.T. EVENTS. ON APRIL 1ST 1997. In Tilburg, The Nederlands.
Certain problems evolved with C.A.T. International & C.A.T. Events and T.ROZE & Co. had to seek legal advice. The contract was cancelled the same year!

Seemingly utilizing a similar blueprint to that of the
Pointer sisters et al, T. Roze & Co.s songs appear
to be rooted in the world of R&B yet Display a healthy
penchant for sophisticated pop. Also, both Cry Baby Cry
and Temptation showcase a deep, seductive and soul-
imbued female vocal that is deserving of only the fines

Lekkere R&B met een avantguadische pop-inslag van een duo in Amsterdam verblij-vende wereldreizigers. De Canadese zangeres Sissy Vincent maakt indruk met haar diepe karakter-en soulvolle stemgeluid en doet denken aan de vocals van de 4 Non Blindes. Zuiver, creatief en nooit over the top. Neil Walton (UK) produceert en arrangeert alle songs inclusief de indrukwekkende guitar-rifs. T.Roze&Co. trad op over de hele wereld en met bekende namen. De feel van deze band is dan ook erg complete en rijk aan wereldse sounds, tot aan country toe. Cry Baby Cry zou zo op de grotere radiostations in de rotatie mee kunnen.
